2019 Honorary Family of the Year
The Huth Family
Brian & Johnna Huth, Brookhaven Country Club members for over 20 years have been married 31 years. They have four children & three beautiful grand children. Other than volunteering and supporting a number of non-profit initiatives that support those with special needs, men’s & women's health, they are servants to their community supporting countless of initiatives.
Unanimously selected by the steering committee of The Haven, Brian & Johnna are the 2019 Honorary Family of the Year as they exemplify the three pillars of the award: Devotion to Family, Character that promote Family Values and a sense of Community that enhances the world surrounding the Club.
As with tradition, we will recognize The Huth Family during The Celebration. Previous recipients of this honor have been Shawn & Chris Spieth & Family (2016), Sam & Carol Pack & Family (2017) and Mark & Kathy Scucchi and Family (2018).
The Haven Charity Classic annually supports three amazing organizations. This only works because of your incredible generosity and heartfelt donations. To learn more about each organization, please visit their websites.
Holy Angels is a residential and training campus for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their mission sustains their legacy of caring, teaching, learning and work. In a caring and home- like environment, individuals experience the dignity of living as independently as possible. Holy Angels residents are comprised of new born children to adults, all of whom receive the highest care they need.
Employee Partners Care Foundation (E.P.C.F.)

The E.P.C.F. is available to assist with hardships with regards to illness, injury, death, fire, or other catastrophic events. A pioneer in the fitness industry, Augie co -founded Lifecycles, Inc. in 1980. Over the course of 20 years, he grew the company, now called Life Fitness, Inc., to be the largest commercial manufacturer of fitness equipment in the world. In March of 2005, Augie's life took an unexpected turn; he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, Lou Gehrig's disease). Drawing strength from his family, friends, and a flood of supportive emails, Augie maintains a positive attitude and continues to lead an active life in Corona Del Mar, California, with his wife, Lynne, and their four children. Supporting Augie's Quest is a national Club Corp initiative at the 200 plus Club Corp Charity Classics nationwide.
